PLEASE NOTE DUE TO COVID 19. MAY 2020 WEEKEND IS CANCELLED
This is an annual festival that takes place during the LAST Bank Holiday in May, which has been held for many years. Volunteers from the church and local community come together to put on a wonderful, vibrant and energetic display of flowers following a chosen theme.
The children from the local Acorn Pre School and Whaplode Primary School fully take part in the displays as well as other local individuals and community groups, ie; WI, Art Group etc
Alongside this we have many varying events held in the Church and Village Hall over the weekend to suit all tastes and ages including church and tower tours. The flower festival is run by volunteers who also run the various stalls ie; Book, Bric a Brac, and Produce stalls, Entertainment, Art, Crafts etc. They also provide refreshments with wonderful homemade cakes which seem to be always available
The weekend rounds off on the Monday evening with a fantastic community gathering which includes a barbecue, entertainment and the Grand Draw. (this is a ticket event only)
All details and programmes on the event can be found on this website and Facebook
